Top contributor considerations?

Our community team is considering launching a top contributor program to highlight our most active users and encourage them to want to answer user questions and offer advice. What are some things we should consider?

    You want to entice your top contributors to want to be top contributors, right? Like they're volunteering to contribute to your community, but what are they going to get out of it? You could give them insider access to new community features or areas of community. You could also offer them continued training to enhance their skills in your product.

    I think that you should consider how you're going to recognize these top contributors and make them stand out amongst other community users. By making them stand out, it will help other community users gravitate towards their answers and advice.

    Thanks for the suggestions! I have taken them to our community team, and we're going to implement them, and also open up a private area in community for them to provide "top contributor" feedback and engage with each other.
