Do you have an area for community users to provide feedback on community? If not, I recommend introducing an area for feedback and implementing reasonable recommendations, making sure you and your team assess how the changes will affect the overall user experience. Also utilizing a space for promoting enhancements, this could include creating an announcement or private message regarding new updates. From my community experience, implementing user feedback and communicating the changes can make your community users feel as though their suggestions and involvement matter and they are able to make an impact.
